Defects or water infiltration allow excess energy loss and impending damage, an exception may appear warm or cool, detectable conditions include missing or damaged insulation, air leakage/infiltration, exfiltration, water intrusion, damaged refractory, the required conditions to succesfully inspect for energy loss there must be a minimum delta T, clearline of sight and inspections may need to be performed during the day or night.

The benefits of thermal imaging inspections are non contact, non destructive, no interruption of service and can be performed remotely. The limitation to any thermal inspection include operator knowledge/skill, weather conditions do effect results, emissivity of a surface also effect results.

• Items to be Inspected – Building envelopes, refractory systems, boiler systems, plumbing systems, heating systems, electrical systems
• Reporting – All imaging and reporting are to be carried out complying with the Infraspection standards, Thermographer and end user must comply with these standards
